The Orphanage

Laura (Belén Rueda) spent her childhood with six playmates in the Good Shepherd Orphanage before being adopted. 30 years later, now 37 years old, she returns with her husband Carlos (Fernando Cayo) and their 7-year-old son Simon (Roger Príncep) to buy the seaside orphanage and convert it into a home for five or six special children. A self-styled "social worker" (Montserrat Carulla) visits the house and Simon finds out that he is adopted and HIV-positive. Simon has six new invisible friends who can never grow up. One of them named Tomas, with a sack over his head, appears to abduct Simon from Laura. What does it take for Laura to bring back her boy?
